Nearly all of your data stays in your browser. Your resume content — your name, experience, education, skills, photo, and the templates you apply — is saved locally in your browser's storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) and is never sent to or processed on our servers.
If you choose to connect your Google Drive, your resumes are synced into a NoCapCVResumes folder inside your own Google Drive. We do not copy your resumes to our own storage; the files remain under your account and your control.
When you sign in to enable Google Drive sync, Google shares a small profile with us — your name, email address, and avatar. We use these only to identify you in the app and to associate your resumes with your Drive account. We do not store this profile on any server; the value is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. You can remove it at any time by signing out, which also clears the locally cached copies of your Drive resumes.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
Analytics records page views and a small set of product events — for example, opening the editor, choosing a template, downloading a PDF (including the format and whether the resume was saved locally or in your Google Drive), and completing a Drive sync. These events never include your resume content — no name, contact details, resume text, or photo.
Google Analytics may set first-party cookies (such as _ga) and processes your IP address (used for coarse location) and device/browser information. This is handled by Google under its own privacy policy. You can opt out using Google's Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie controls.
Local storage (not cookies). The app keeps your preferences (such as UI theme), your resume index, your resume content, and — if you sign in — your Google profile and session token in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB. This data stays on your device and is not shared with third parties.
Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets the first-party cookies described above.
Advertising. NoCapCV is supported by advertising. When ads are enabled they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. We serve non-personalized (contextual) ads only; ad data is handled by Google under its own policies, and you can manage ad personalization in your Google Ads Settings. Ads are not shown until our ad units are enabled. We do not sell your personal data.

NoCapCV is not intended for children under 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children, and if we ever learn that we have received information from someone under 13, we will delete it promptly.
